Who needs this kit? 

This kit is designed for anyone who may risk exposure to HIV infection through occupational duties, remote and isolated working, or accidents and injuries which may be unexpected.

What does this kit treat? 

For use in suspected cases of significant HIV exposure to reduce the risk of infection.

Why is it important?

Prompt (within 1-2 hours of exposure) treatment of exposure to HIV delivers the best outcomes for reducing the risk of contracting HIV. It is expected that the individual carrying and using this kit will be able to access definitive care, and continue the full course of HIV PEP, within 3 days of exposure.
